Funding For Bethshan
The organization is commended for the
attention given to developing and implementing responsible financial
management practices. The financial records are well organized and reflect a
sound and stable operation. (CARF) Providing the necessary services and
supports to the individuals served by Bethshan requires funding on both the
public and private levels.
Public Funding
All funding for persons served by Bethshan is coordinated through the
Department of Human Services. Funding sources may include: Social Security,
Medicaid, Medicaid Waiver, and Veterans benefits. Funding for Bethshan also
includes revenue to purchase day programming from Elim Work Services.
Bethshan Foundation
The services Bethshan provides require considerable private funding. The
Bethshan Foundation was established to meet those needs that public funding
is unable to cover. These funds are needed to finance the construction and
start up of each facility, and to fund the significant shortfall in actual
cost of operation.
The Foundation also benefits form the efforts of the Women's Service League.
Composed of women
representing various churches from the Chicagoland an Northern Indiana areas, they have worked tirelessly to provide funds
for special projects.
The Foundation relies on gifts from private contributors, church offerings
organizational gifts, trusts, etc. to
support Bethshan Association's efforts on behalf of the developmentally
disabled.
