     Funding For Bethshan

The organization is commended for the attention given to developing and implementing responsible financial management practices. The financial records are well organized and reflect a sound and stable operation. (CARF) Providing the necessary services and supports to the individuals served by Bethshan requires funding on both the public and private levels.

Public Funding
All funding for persons served by Bethshan is coordinated through the Department of Human Services. Funding sources may include: Social Security, Medicaid, Medicaid Waiver, and Veterans benefits. Funding for Bethshan also includes revenue to purchase day programming from Elim Work Services.

Bethshan Foundation
The services Bethshan provides require considerable private funding. The Bethshan Foundation was established to meet those needs that public funding is unable to cover. These funds are needed to finance the construction and start up of each facility, and to fund the significant shortfall in actual cost of operation.

The Foundation also benefits form the efforts of the Women's Service League. Composed of women
representing various churches from the Chicagoland an
Northern Indiana areas, they have worked tirelessly to provide funds for special projects.

The Foundation relies on gifts from private contributors, church offerings organizational gifts, trusts, etc. to
support Bethshan Association's efforts on behalf of the developmentally disabled.

IARF (Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities).
DHS (Department of Human Services) as a CILA provider. (Community Integrated Living Arrangement)
